Happy days, BUT it’s may already! 😱

Guys my tomatoes are going strong! I’m so happy you have no idea. I don’t have much energy lately though. Ups and downs and ups and downs. Life 🌸

But anywayz! Two different kinds of tomatoes have completely different leaves. This year I have spieces of tomato I’ve never seen before. Wild!

A mere fraction of my army. I have tens of them, more and more trays, madness!

So the first batch got evicted outside. Fingers crossed the little greenhouse does the job. You can do it little one!

The star of the show. It was supposed to be my show! :c but you’re cute, I’ll give it to you.

There’s also Easter. Fun times! The star of the show was the very friendly neighbourhood cat to the amusement of children. Screw the egg hunt, there’s a cat here πŸ˜‚

The highlight for me was actually calmly celebrating in the very early morning though. I think I’m burnt out now. I’m not hosting another big event this year. I was so stressed over doing egg hunt for somebody else’s children and the Easter breakfast and cakes and everything I didn’t have much chance to celebrate mentally or spiritually. And I love having people over. Ahhh my brain can’t decide. I’m going somewhere else for Christmas though πŸ˜‚

Basil oh basil

From this place I want to say hello to my dear friend that loves basil πŸ˜‰

I rescued basil and mint from the supermarket with intention of propagating them, but I managed to save the whole plants too. But oh boy, do they sell those plants to die.

They have both overgrown their pots ages ago, and basil in particular was heavily overwatered. It’s a miracle the roots didn’t rot. It’s sad, cause it’s not the fault of the employees, they just water everything at once whenever they’re told to. Supermarkets aren’t gardening centers either. But I hope it becomes common knowledge that you either have to repot the plant the moment you get home or use it all up very quickly. No in between.

Especially since many plants are easy to grow. Basil can be grown at home, on a sunny windowsill, or outside in the greenhouse. Mint however takes deep roots so it has to be sooner or later planted into the ground. Once it feels at home it likes to spread, so be careful if you have flowerbeds nearby!

Both of them need a bit of watering at home, not that much outside. I watered my mint in the garden at the very beginning to help it grow roots, then not at all since it was growing in the shadow and, remember, it has deep roots! Basil needs maybe once a week once it settles in the greenhouse depending how big is the plant and what soil it’s planted into.

Look at me talking and talking, goodness. I love plants lol xD

And I have so much more to do. Every new month brings so much more to do, how can I exist without being able to photosynthesise for power T.T

That’s all for today! πŸ˜€

See ya later-

Last portion of garden vlogs for a while!

Since my phone camera is broken and I don’t have a stand for my normal camera (and definitely don’t want to drop it which happened often with the phone on uneven garden grounds) I’m stopping the garden diaries for the time being πŸ™‚ I think I’ll post a one catch up video maybe?

But here are 3 more videos for you to enjoy for now! ^^

Some replanting and planting~

Building!

And some witchcraft! Just joking, propagating herbs happens on its own basically πŸ˜€

The stuff just grows for now, and I don’t know how many times I can show the same plant without it getting boring ^^’ But I learned a lot, and I think I’ll do stuff much more efficient next year! I know how now after all. My most splendid success are definitely tomatoes, I managed to grow enough saplings from seeds that my whole family, and husband’s family got quite a lot of them ^^

But I’m also growing cucumbers! And I think I’ll focus on those more next year :3 They are so much easier to grow, and they grow ultra fast. And are not as fragile as tomatoes πŸ…

So! I’ll see you soon ❀ by the way, it’s my 4th wordpress anniversary! Time flies! I really love this little space on the internet and how much courage and freedom it gave me.

Love,
Juliet

Some more garden stories

Hello! Some more stuff happening in the garden :3 this time in my vlogs, I bring to you books, tomatoes, and flowers!

Rather than giving specific titles, I wanted to give an idea what to look for. Something simple, and vague, but also material for some deeper research!

Here we have TOMATOES. Next year I’m gonna do it differently. Very. I’m going crazy.

Finally, some flowers to ease the soul. Really, after the endless tomato fight… I just can’t.

But anyway, my experiments are going well! And I’m super happy and excited for what’s to come, what’s to grow! Hehe

See ya!

Some more garden stuff🌿✨

Ok, so, it’s raining again, and the temperature dropped. So I come to you with some sunshine from my garden! \(^^)/

Or should I say baby garden, as I don’t really have any crops growing well yet ^^’

One of the things I’m proud of though, is planting a tree, and some other branches I have are sprouting some leaves! Isn’t that amazing???

I also built some greenhouses, since I do not trust the weather anymore. Like, AT ALL.

I’m trying to make everything work, really!!! For the most part I’m not sure what I’m doing, there’s only so much you can learn from reading and watching, you have to do stuff yourself at some point. And I am constantly thinking: am I doing this right? But hey, SOMETHING is growing, so I’m not that bad I guess! Haha

See ya ❀

Hello cuties!!!🌼🌸

I come to you with another portion of Garden Diaries, I decided to post them in a set of 3! ^^

I really enjoy being out in the sunshine (or rain) working on a beautiful green project :3 And I’m learning so much! It’s amazing how much you learn just by observing things.

I am full of hope too. And sometimes the garden itself comes forward with the most unexpected things. There are flowers out of nowhere, plants seemingly dead suddenly regrowing strong leaves and branches.

I love the feel of the soil, the gentle wind, the sunshine burning the sadness off of me πŸ˜€

What a bliss! \(^^)/ I get the same feeling as with my little balcony garden last year. It’s just what nature does to you I guess! ❀ No matter the space, you can always make it work! I’m still getting used to actually having more space, haha

Garden diaries!

Hello hello my fellow gardners!

I have started a garden, and decided to document my endeavours :3c

I am so green in gardening (haha badum tss), but I’m trying! I followed the instructions on the seed packagings, but I didn’t expect the snow, hail and freezing temperatures at the end of March T.T

So I don’t want to admit to a failure… But at this point I don’t think anything will sprout πŸ˜₯ So sad, but I’m looking forward! I’m gonna try with some more seeds since it’s getting nice and warm! Spring weather finally!

Also, my mint flopped and I’m pretty bummed about that… Oh well. The worst thing is, it looks loke something trampled all over it. The stems are broken and I don’t think it’s hail, maybe some animal? So sad anyway πŸ˜₯

I’ll continue though!!!! Garden, I’m only just getting started!!!!

Strawberry of the week

Cutie~

Hello!!!

I decided to write kind of a summary of my gardening endeavours, for those interested in maybe starting their own little piece of green patch :3c

It all started well, I was so amazed with all the seeds sprouting, watching the growth, dealing with problems and loss if something did not survive. First of all, I had to accept that not all of my plants would survive. Some of them needed more space, some I gave too much water, some not enough, some just simply didn’t like being on the balcony. And some were attacked by nasty, but common, little bugs :<

It was a great learning experience though. I learned how to recognise the needs of plants I have, and how to treat them. I learned that some are just not suited to be on the balcony in the middle of the city. It’s so amazing having the beautiful greenery, right there, next to your window!

Fighting to keep stuff alive, I kept alive two strawberry bushes, and they give like one strawberry a week :’) But let me tell you, these strawberries are so sweet and delicious, so much better than store bought! Bonus for a satisfaction of keeping them alive! πŸ˜€

I am still gardening and my adventures aren’t over yet :3 I hope to get some more stuff to keep in the house! To have some greenery inside :3c

Don’t get discouraged, plants are awesome! Haha

See ya,

Juliet

Herbal garden 🌿

I could finally go to the allotment and plant some stuff! It was a wonderful sunny day, so warm and cosy ❀ Truly enjoyable (despite sun burning the heck out of my back while I was working)

Stylish gloves :3

I even recorded a video! A little vlog ^^ I especially love how the light bounces off water droplets when I water the herbs :3c

The ground is dry and the whole place is kind of messy, for the longest time we couldn’t even go there because of how the situation in the world is right now. But now we can! And there’s almost no people there so it’s such a relief.

I managed to read a chapter of a book, it started with a rather morbid one, I’m not sure if you want spoilers but here you go, it was about a widow who desperately wanted to save life of her son who was hanged. As you can imagine it didn’t go very well. I was left with “well, that’s a beautiful story for a nice sunny day, isn’t it” :’) I didn’t mind it though, cause it was very nicely written.

So that’s it for today! I’m a bit frustrated lately, but I’m trying to keep my head out of feeling miserable pit. Everyone has a right to feel meh! Remember! Be kind to one another πŸŒ»βœ¨πŸ“

Love ya,

Juliet

Flowers~🌼

You crazy little plants! I’m loving you.

Hello there! (General Kenobi! πŸŽ¬βš”οΈ) [worst entrance possible, but a cool fight]

That would be me with allergies I guess ;3 Anyway, time for an update! The other plants are growing nicely, yay! But this time I present to you how crazy the flowers have gone. First one, that you can see above, is alyssum. It sprouted first and I was so surprised just how much it had shown and how quickly! Wow. Also, I’m discovering English names for flowers (most of my vocabulary for plants comes from farming games!) and this one I’ve read as ‘asylum’ and was like whaaaat

Ooooh~πŸ’•

Next up, strawflower! Can you make a straw hat from strawflowers? Well, you probably can if you try hard enough but I don’t necessarily recommend it, haha 🌾 This ones were second to show up but oh boy, they didn’t disappoint either! It looks so strong! And it’s gonna be sooo cute. I bought a nice cute thing to serve as a pot when they grow some more✨ :3c

Daaaisy, daaaaisy

Are daisies strawflowers? I honestly have no idea, they look so similar. But here it comes, daisy! I’ve always loved daisies, they used to grow in front of my block of flats when I was little and in our garden (on the allotment). Later on, when I was a teenager I think, my mum got some beautiful fluffy – looking flowers to grow on the windowsill in the living room and I immediately fell in love with them only to learn that they are indeed also species of daisy! Haha. So it all goes back to my childhood in the end.

Thing that got my concern was the time of planting, since I’ve seen that they would rather be planted in june than in may, and I noticed only after actually planting them. But they sprouted, so it’s good I guess!

Long story short, I have decorative kind of daisy growing nicely on my balcony ^^

I also planted magnolias at the same time I planted the others, but they are not there yet. I wonder if they will grow at all? Hope so! I’m not very knowledgeable when it comes to plants really (city gurl, wohoo), but I’m learning and it feels so nice! I got some little guides with pictures about herbs and garden flowers too :3

Oh! And I can finally start going to the allotment! So I can plant some stuff there, huhuhu :3c It’s kinda late for that, but might as well try, right? ^^

That’s it for today! Thank you for reading and have a nice day 🌻

See ya!
