Village from the past!

Hello! Yesterday I went to an awesome event, the Archeology Festival. The weather was definitely English… But I had a lot of fun anyway!

The event was held in a reconstructed prehistoric village filled with not only merchants and barbarians, but very handsome Scottish gentlemen as well. Cool, right?

The main attraction was the battle. Well, a lot of battles to be precise. Men dressed as warriors were fighting all the time. But some of them came on a stage and gave a short explanation about their costumes and weapons.

When it comes to houses in the village, all were crowded and people were selling things inside. The empty ones were very dark and usually full of smoke from the fire. They were so cosy! I managed to take a photo of some herbs drying near the ceiling.

There were tents as well. This area is supposed to be the Roman camp. Unfortunately everyone went to participate in one of the battles so the camp was empty.

Here you can see a clay oven, used mostly to bake bread. I think I saw three of them yesterday.

Don’t forget about animals! Only cows remained outside, because of the weather. Brave ones!

Sometimes you have to travel. That’s why you need boats. This one was very pretty!

BONUS photo. You better not make me angry! Haha

You could try on some armour and pose with weapons. They were quite big and very heavy! It was so much fun!

The final event was an Irish dance performance. The dancers taught us some moves after the show! I think it was the best point of the festival!

That’s it for today. You should definitely give a festival like this a try, it’s just awesome.

Have a nice week everyone! See you soon!

Wild art

Art can be found in the most unexpected places. I went for a walk yesterday and I spotted some strange things. Mirrors, sculptures and others which I have no idea what to call. But I was quite sure they don’t belong near the lake. Or do they?

I took only two photos, since I didn’t have that much time. The first one is called “star”. Well, it was impossible to guess! Haha

The other one really caught my eye. This artwork is called “malum” (“evil” in latin). For me it represents the endless hole that swallows every good thought. It looks great, especially with the water around. By the way, did you know that “mal” in spanish means “bad”? I was very happy that I still remember something from spanish!

I will definitely come back and see the rest of the “wild” exhibition.

Do you like art?

Have a great, inspirational day!

The Old Zoo

Literally old zoo. There are two zoos in my city. The Old Zoo and the New Zoo. The New Zoo was built later and most of the animals were transferred from the Old to the New, so they can have a lot more space.

The Old Zoo was transformed into park and you can enter for free! But a lot of smaller animals are still there.

Let me introduce: black swan. Cool one. Likes to bite people. Thanks to that I could take a photo!

Here are the other birds. They are very pretty!

Look at these beauties. I absolutely love them! They are really friendly. They aren’t afraid of people at all.

I think I can call them my favourite animals!

I was quite surprised to see a herb garden in the zoo!

There are other magical places as well.

You can’t climb these stairs but they look pretty nice and a little bit wild.

Back to animals. There were sheep that were eating grass all the time. They weren’t bothered by people at all.

Adorable ❤

It was such a fun day!

And with the special someone who finally came back from his trip. Welcome back!

Have a great day everyone! See you really soon!

In the garden

Today I spent nearly half a day in the garden. I felt a bit adventurous so I grabbed the camera and all the equipment and started running around taking photos of random things.

I needed some fresh air after reading and studying. And the weather was nice!

See? Beautiful sunny day.

Fruits! They are not ready to be eaten… yet.

I’ve seen way too many spiders. They are everywhere! Are they having a party or something?

Scary. But I had to take a photo.

At some point I noticed the reflection. So I took a picture, ’cause why not?

The evening made a sudden entrance.

I’ve read a few pages of another book and went home soon after.

It’s nice to spend some time outside. Have a good day everyone! Stay healthy and happy ❤

Tea time

Tea is a wonderful thing. Golden drink of all drinks.

Today I wanted to tell you about some of my favourite types of tea. Here we go!

Isn’t my cup incredibly cute?

The first tea for today is Pu Erh Organic Superior. Pu Ehr tea is supposed to make you healthier. It’s good for people trying to loose weight, since it helps your stomach do the hard work! It smells strange but is actually very tasty.

Close-up to the leaves. Brewing time is around 7-10 minutes.

Next one is Ceylon. But it’s not a pure ceylon tea.

It’s flavored with roasted chestnuts and got bits of an apple as well. Most importantly, this tea smells like chocolate! Brewing time: 3 minutes.

Another ceylon tea. It’s called December Night. You can find it in Christmas time but I like to drink it all year.

It’s got bits of everything that reminds you of Christmas, such as orange, apples or cinnamon. Brewing time is around 3 minutes as well.

Last one is Yunnan Green Superior. As you can probably tell it’s from Yunnan, province in China.

Green tea is good for your health as well. But brewing time depends on the effect you want to achieve. It could make you energetic or help you relax. What’s important is the temperature of the water – it should be no more than 70°C.

I hope you enjoyed this little tea-talk 🙂 Have a wonderful summer day everyone! ^^

Green

Poznań Palm House is a wonderful place. Even though I have been there before I had so much fun! You can feel like a true explorer! Going through flora of the different continents, seeing plants you wouldn’t normally see – it’s an amazing experience.

It’s is basically a huge greenhouse where you can see plants from all over the world.

Some of them have really interesting names. The polish name for this one is banana of wisdom. Quite funny, don’t you think? ^^

Cactus.

In the greenhouse you could find ponds with beautiful fish as well.

Hello there!

Koi?

There were other animals too!

Some plants are simply beautiful.

Some may be magical. Isn’t this Mandragora from Harry Potter? Haha

This photo is not edited, the colors are this vibrant in real life. Surprising, isn’t it?

Walking there I felt like in a Jurassic Park!

But much nicer. There were also aquariums, but I’m not really interested in them.

The Palm House looks so cool from the outside as well.

And it’s located in the park so the area around is very pretty. If you’re not interested in plants or don’t want to spend money, I recommend visiting the Willson Park. It’s beautiful. You can just chill and relax.

That’s it for today! Have a great day and smile a lot!

Photographer (?)

Thanks to the special someone I could take some cute photos. I’m not a pro, I just like photography. World is truly beautiful and this time I wanted to capture countryside beauty!

Let’s go!

A field. I love the colors, it’s a mix of yellow, gold and green.

White flowers. Wild flowers.

A pop of color here and there!

Hello there little guy! These butterflies were really hard to capture.

Yellow.

Purple.

And blue! But most importantly…

…Pink ❤

The day was truly beautiful.

I’m so happy I could borrow the camera and go outside!

Ah, the sun, the clear sky. It was truly a pleasure.

But you have to come back home at some point.

I enjoy photography and nature so much. If you have any advice for a beginner photographer please tell me!

Have a good day, see you soon!

Lazy afternoon

This is just a chill post ’cause I’m too lazy to get out of bed. Here’s the piggy, she’s keeping me company!

Today I received a postcard from my friend. He went to Austria and managed to return before the postcard arrived! Haha 🙂 It’s so nice of him to send me one, it’s not that common to send postcards nowadays.

By the way I’m looking for some good books about history of Britain. I’m going to study english philology soon, since I got accepted into university! I got the official letter yesterday. I’m so happy! By the way, I’m so curious if I will be able to talk freely, since english is not my native language. I’m afraid of making mistakes. Wish me luck! Haha ^^

Have a good day! Hugs for everyone!
